3. Free Video Sessions
We are currently planning to have video sessions in the following topics: Complications, Robotics, ICG & Imaging Techniques (ICG, FAPI PET). Other topics for video will be taken into consideration.
Free video presentations are allocated a maximum of 6 minutes, with an additional 2 minutes for discussion. Videos should be educational, aimed at improving the care of surgical patients and maintaining high standards of care within an optimal practice environment. Live narration in English is required.
The review process will follow the standard abstract submission guidelines. Along with the written abstract, a low-quality video (maximum 50MB) must be uploaded during the submission process. To reduce file size, consider compressing the video using H.264 compression, lowering the resolution to 640x360px, or reducing the frame rate to 15fps. Adjusting the bitrate can also help reduce file size. At the conference, the full-quality video should be presented. Several free applications, such as Handbrake, are available online for video compression.
Before the session, full-quality video files must be submitted to the technician's desk for testing. Ensure the file is Windows-compatible, with extensions such as MP4 or AVI. Note that some AVI files may be incompatible with the software due to encoding processes, and the necessary software decoder may not be available at the conference.
Video Requirements Summary:
- Maximum running time of 6 minutes
- Live English narration
